Welcome to the world of science.

I am starting my 9th year here at CHS. I am the Physical Science, Chemistry and Physics teacher here at Cherokee Central High School. I have been teaching since 1992. I have taught high school, and middle school.  My certification/degree is a B.S. in Comprehensive Science Education with the addition of Middle School Social Studies.  I earned my degree from Western Carolina University.  

I am not originally from the mountains.  I grew up in Southport, N.C.  I am married to a wonderful man who is from here and we have two boys, Johnathon and Jeffrey, both of whom are grown.  Johnathon is married and Jeffrey is a US Army Veteran.  I have two dogs: Granite-a Blue Healer, and Sophie-a black lab-boxer mix and I have a tabby cat named Dime.  I have lived in 7 different states.  I have been as far North as Canada, West to Los Angles, CA, South to Bahama's. and East to Southport, NC, where I grew up.
